Power BI NFL Fantasy Football 2016 Reports

If you have followed my blog for the past year or so you may remember when I posted a Power BI workbook I created to analyze the previous season’s NFL player stats to help me with my fantasy football draft. I know, its nerdy, but I like Power BI and I like fantasy football so I thought why not?

With the new NFL season upon us, I thought I’d update my fantasy football report with the stats from the 2015 football season and some updated reports. Feel free to download them and use them as you see fit.

  1. Dustin,

Very cool visualizations and thanks for sharing this. You may have shared it already, but what data source(s) were used to prepare your analysis?

    Thanks,

    Steve

  2. Good stuff, Dustin! I played around with it and quickly made a parameter to change stats from based on year chosen, so that’s pretty cool assuming Yahoo keeps their URLs consistent!

      1. That is really, really cool! The look of it is top notch, but you’ve got a lot of great functionality there too. Super impressed. This makes me laugh too, because a decade or so ago I really honed my Excel skills because all the work I did in it with FF stats. No better way to learn these tools than to use them for Fantasy!
I don’t suppose you want to share this pbix, do you? If not, I’d completely understand. I can tell how much time it took.
        Once again, fantastic work!
